Strengthening Families Assistant
1 x 34 hour post covering Maternity leave
Scale 3 - £19,312 to £19,698 pro rata ( £10.01 - £10.21 per hour)

The primary purpose of the service is to reduce demand on statutory higher tier more expensive services such as social care by targeting support to our most complex families. This supportive, targeted work with children and families will help prevent family breakdown, whilst strengthening early help working arrangements to ensure individuals are supported to get the “Right Help at the Right Time", enabling families to live active healthy independent lifestyles by utilising their own networks and community assets.

An opportunity has arisen in the Wrekin locality, for a Strengthening Families Assistant.

The locality consists of Family Practitioners, Family Assistants, Adult Practitioners and Adult Social Workers who work closely together.

The post will be working in the community delivering universal groups and carrying a caseload of home based family support work with vulnerable Children and Families requiring Local Authority support and Intervention.

As a Strengthening Families Assistant you will deliver a “Strengthening Families” whole family working approach across an all age service. Ensuring multi agency Integrated working practices are at the heart of everything we do.
