Do you have the drive, passion and vision to improve outcomes for pupils with SEND?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious school committed to improving the outcomes of its pupils, both academically and socially. The Strategic role of the SENDCO plays an invaluable contribution within the Senior Leadership Team to enable all pupils to access a broad, balanced and rich curriculum and to experience success in their learning.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual, who has experience in working with pupils with SEND, their families and external support agencies. The successful applicant will be professional, knowledgeable, adaptable and dedicated to leading high quality provision to support some of our most vulnerable children.

This role is suitable for an established SENDCO or teacher with the knowledge and experience of working inclusively with pupils with SEND, now looking to move into a leadership role.

The SENDCO position is a non-class based teaching role.

We are looking for applicants with strong communication skills who will be able to build, lead and maintain respectful and effective relationships with staff, children and their families. You will be motivated and resilient with excellent organisational, interpersonal and time management skills. Showing initiative and inspiring others will also be key to your success. Mental health and the well-being of all pupils will be central to your approach for teaching and learning.

We can offer you a supportive place to work, where the staff team are aspirational, connected and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of all our pupils.

Applicants with enthusiasm, a real passion and knowledge of SEND and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. You will need to enjoy working autonomously, but still be able to work as part of a team. A full commitment to ongoing professional development opportunities will be offered to the successful candidate.

In the current circumstances, we would invite you to look at the school website to see a video tour of the school - https://henleygreen.primarysite.media/media/school-tour
