Teaching Assistant (Level 3) The Wilfred Owen School
Grade 6 (SCP 7-11)
£10.21 - £11.27 per hour
30 hours per week, term time only
Fixed Term subject to EHCP Reviews – potential for long-term position
Required from 19th April 2021 (or earlier subject to safer recruitment checks)
The School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a child in school with significant medical needs. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.45am to 3.15pm.
We are looking for a dynamic, positive and determined member of staff. Under the instruction and guidance of the teaching staff, health care staff and other professionals, you will undertake educational activities and attend to the educational, medical and social needs of the child in order to support their learning and development and to ensure their safety.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic to inspire and achieve the very best outcomes for the child. You will be happy to work independently and as part of a wider support team. Commitment to embrace new ideas and challenges whilst having a strong approach to pastoral support for the child is essential. You will be able to work under pressure and remain calm in all situations. Experience of Makaton would be an advantage.
