EYFS and Phonics Lead

The governors are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic teacher who is sympathetic to the Catholic Ethos of the school to the post of EYFS and Phonics Leader.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and passionate teacher to lead our Foundation Stage and phonics programme RWI, who is committed to developing and supporting the quality of teaching and learning for Reading and Phonics in line with school policy.

You will join a team of highly motivated, creative teachers and leaders who truly care about our children’s pastoral and academic development so that we make a
difference to each one of them.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
 Be a practising Catholic or be able to support and contribute to the strong Catholic ethos of the school
 Love of learning and dedication to their own professional development
 Have high expectations of pupils and be an excellent classroom practitioner
 The ability to monitor, analyse data and be able to lead and motive others by example.
 Have good organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff.
 Enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork and sharing best practice with others.
 To monitor and assure the quality of teaching and learning, for Reading and Phonics in line with the school
policy. This may include lesson observations, monitoring of planning and scrutiny of pupils’ work and
assessment data, modelling of outstanding lesson delivery and inset.
 Knowledge of teaching and learning in the Foundation Stage, Reception class as well as teaching the RWI
phonics programme.
 This exciting post would suit an experienced teacher ready to move onto the next stage in their career.
