Job Title: Here2Help Advisors
Opportunities: 2no
Salary: £20,984 - £23,167
Full-Time: 35 hours
Location: Worcester
Temporary: 1 year

We are seeking two dedicated Here2Help Advisors to support Worcestershire’s residents in the Coronavirus Response. Here2Help is a community action response to Coronavirus (COVID-19). The service provides a central location for those who are unable to seek help from family, friends and neighbours. The service supports anyone in Worcestershire who may be shielding or isolating due to the virus.

Self-isolating is the most important factor in reducing the spread of Coronavirus.  The Here2Help team work across Worcestershire and link with all partner and local organisations and wider governance structures to ensure individuals and families can receive the support they require.  These roles are fixed for one year to support the running of the Here2Help service, overseen by the Here2Help Operations Manager.

The two posts of Here2Help Advisors will be responsible for ensuring that those who are self-isolating due to the virus are able to get the essential supplies they need to complete the 10-day isolation period required to prevent the spread of the virus. Some of the key areas of work as part of the programme include:

• To be part of a Here2Help team delivering a high standard first point of contact services to people needing support from Here2Help
• To provide individuals and families with information and advice, coordinate practical support and/or connect and refer to local services
• To work with referrers and the public, providing guidance in line with Government policy, as well as, encouragement and motivation in a friendly and supportive manner.

We are looking to appoint two dedicated individuals with experience in working with communities. You will have previous experience of a customer focused environment with the confidence and ability to ‘hit the ground running’. You will have excellent written and communication skills and share information verbally with people from a range of professions and backgrounds.

Please note both of these roles are for 1 year.  Internal candidates will be considered with permission from their line manager.

If you are interested in this post and would like to find out more information, please contact Andrea Blake: ablake@worcestershire.gov.uk.

Please find attached an application form. Please include the reasons you feel that you should be considered; the experience, skills and knowledge that you would bring to the post; and should be written with consideration to the Job Description and Person Specification attached.
