Pupil Support Worker (Significant Adult Provision - SAP)
The Nuneaton Consortium of Primary Schools, is looking to appoint an experienced person (possibly TA/Support Worker or similar) to act as a Pupil Support Worker (Significant Adult Provision – SAP) supporting children and families in the Nuneaton area. The position will use All Saints CE Primary school in Nuneaton as a base, but the successful candidate will be required to work with identified schools within the consortium.
We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic, hard working and confident individual who clearly wants to make a positive difference to the lives of children they work with. The appointee must demonstrate active initiative, taking a collaborative approach and have a friendly disposition.
The role is ideal for someone with experience working with and supporting children and families – ideally, (but not essentially) in an education setting.
This is an exciting new project in partnership with Warwickshire Local Authority, aimed at supporting primary pupils within the Nuneaton Consortium of Schools. It will initially be a 12 month Fixed Term Contract funded by the Local Authority. The contract is for 30 hours per week, term time only, plus training days.
It will provide significant opportunity for professional development, working within a growing network of support and provision.
The appointee, will of necessity, be required to work closely with schools, families and other professionals and agencies to support pupils who are experiencing difficulties, enabling them to integrate and re-integrate successfully into school.
Being pro active and flexible is essential alongside an empathetic and child centered approach. Proficiency in using meeting apps such at TEAMS or Zoom and having their own transport are prerequisites of the role.
There is an expectation that this role will make a real difference to the lives of identified children and their families. It has the potential for being a hugely rewarding experience for the right candidate.
