About Us and The Role
As a Youth Justice Practitioner, you will be part of a multi-agency team whose remit is to prevent and reduce offending by children and young people. WYJS provides services to young people, parents/carers and victims of crime as required by the Crime and Disorder Act.
You will be required to undertake a wide range of activities, including assessment, supervision of young people in the community, appropriate adult duties, liaising with partner agencies and contributing to service delivery in several different areas.
You may also undertake lead duties with regards supporting young people back into education, training or employment, working with young people who have received out of court disposals, parenting work or communicating and arranging restorative justice approaches with victims of crime.
