Job Start Date: 1 September 2021

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented, qualified and experienced teacher to lead the Primary Department of this outstanding, all-age specialist school catering for pupils with vision impairment. The post will involve both a strategic leadership role and a teaching commitment within the Primary Department.

Recent experience of working with children with SEND in either mainstream or special school setting is essential. You will need to have an understanding of young people with additional learning disabilities and be able to personalise learning to meet a wide range of needs. Our students’ learning is very hands on and tactile, and you will need to bring

enthusiasm and dynamic creativity to your teaching.

A qualification in vision impairment is not essential on appointment, but a commitment to undertake mandatory vision impairment training would be required.
