The post is full time 37 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year
Reports to: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Salary: PO8 (34 to 37) - £37,890 to £40,876
plus generous pension scheme and other benefits
including 22 days annual leave rising to 25

Empower Trust are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Finance Manager with excellent oral, written and analytical communication skills to oversee the day to day financial activity of Empower Trust. You will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A proven track record in managing a finance function to the highest of standards, constantly striving to seek improvements in processes
A relevant professional accountancy qualification (CCAB recognised ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with staff at all levels including Trustees and Senior Leaders.
Strong IT skills and the ability to manage, manipulate and interpret data, with experience of managing and operating key financial systems
The ability to manage time and a finance team, delegating as appropriate, multitasking and working to tight deadline
The successful candidate will need a full clean driving licence with access to a vehicle as regular travel to Trust schools is a requirement of the role.
The post will be based at our Central Team office in Hadnall, Shrewsbury which offers a wonderful semi-rural location on Sansaw Business Estate with free car parking. However, with current Covid 19 restrictions there may be an element of home working to begin with.
