The Public Health Division is engaged in a dynamic and diverse range of innovative work at a local, regional, national and international level. The Governance Team form part of the Knowledge, Evidence and Governance (KEG) Team within the Birmingham City Council Public Health Division.  The Governance team ensure that the Public Health Division meets all data governance legal requirements and supports the strategic and operational development of statutory functions of the Council, for example, the Health and Wellbeing Board and it’s five Sub Forums.

We have a vacant position within the Governance section of a multi-disciplinary public health team in the largest local authority in the country. This is a rare opportunity for highly skilled individual to join our Public Health Team

 

The post holder will support the Public Health Information Governance, insight and research functions ensuring that together with the Service Lead, the Public Health Division meets all data governance requirements for example around data protection and information management, including data protection impact assessments, data share agreements and the Development and maintenance of processes for the division.

Our ideal candidates are enthusiastic individuals with key skills that can be applied to support understanding and addressing the public health challenges within the city. We are looking for people of the highest calibre whose knowledge and skills will help us provide the best possible service.
