Pastoral Support Assistant (C1334) - Permanent Position 37 hours per week. Term Time Only.

Hours of work – Mon+Wed 08:30-17:00 – Tues+Thurs 08:30-16:15 - Friday 08:30-15:30. To start 7th June 2021.

Actual Salary: £15,732-£16,047 per annum.

This post requires a person to carry out a number of roles throughout the day to support the academic, social, emotional and behaviour needs of the students.

You will be required to liaise with the Every Child Matters Co-ordinator, Inclusion Support Manager and Behaviour Support Manager on the Hednesford Valley High site to deliver support and interventions.

After school this person would join the Youth Club team and either support after school clubs or provide 1:1 tuition for Literacy and Numeracy.  There may be occasions when this person would be involved in after school detentions and accompanying staff to transport students’ home.

Hednesford Valley High is a good generic secondary special school with a split site provision.  Students in Year 7-11 are based at the Stanley Road Site, and students in Years 12-14 are based in E block at Cannock Chase High.  The school caters for a wide range of students, many with more than one area of SEN.  All staff are totally committed to providing excellent teaching and learning to empower students to become independent citizens of the world.
