We have a new opportunity for a full time Employment and Skills Manager to be part of our employment and skills team to support disabled and disadvantaged people to change their lives through finding work.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the head of operations. They will be responsible for the management and co-ordination on developing the Employment and Skills service in line with various contracts.

The role including being able to undertake effective contract and quality management to achieve high performance, outcomes/targets, compliance and quality of allocated employment and skills related services and contracts in line with funder requirements and IFA’s quality frameworks.

We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and driven team manager preferably with experience within Employment or within a health and social care setting.  The successful candidate will be involved in strategic planning for the service and will have knowledge of supporting disabled and disadvantaged people.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, decision making skills with a ‘can do’ attitude to lead and manage the Employment and skills team to achieve set targets.  Their role will involve delegating caseloads to the team, liaising with external partners, implementing procedures and processes, and looking for effective solutions to improve the service whilst ensuring all safeguarding and other legal requirements are met.

They will have some management forward/supervisory experience and be confident passionate about developing the team in a fast-paced and target driven environment. They will be able to manage a range of tasks in outreach locations and in the local community.

This role provides an opportunity to actively influence and support employers in the local community to change their attitudes towards employing disabled people or those with a health condition, and work with them to build a better understanding of disability and being Disability Confident.
