The Role

The Trust is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Deputy Headteacher who is committed to supporting the Multi Academy Trust to educational excellence and further developing the distinctive Christian character of educational provision and the school community.




Key Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status
First Degree or Equivalent
Evidence of further professional development
Current experience of being an active member of a senior leadership team
Substantial primary teaching experience (minimum of 5 years)
To have a thorough knowledge of both the Early Years Curriculum and the National Curriculum
Experience of whole-school curriculum management leading to school improvement
Highly successful experience of leading and managing whole school developments in a number of areas regarding teaching & learning and raising standards of attainment and achievement across the school
Experience of whole school self-review and evaluation
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Excellent classroom practitioner
A strong commitment to inclusion with high expectations for all learners
Ability to set & meet challenging targets, for pupils and the school, and the ability to enable others to do this
To have had experience of planning and delivering school-based INSET
Secure understanding of the characteristics of effective primary teaching and learning strategies used to raise pupil attainment and achievement
Secure understanding and use of assessment, including target setting and pupil progress tracking
Experience of working successfully with a range of outside agencies
Creative, enthusiastic and proactive, keen to embrace new ideas and challenges
Approachable, caring and empathetic
Works well as part of a team
Flexible, listens and is prepared to seek advice and support
Demonstrates a concern for the pastoral & spiritual welfare of all in the school
Committed to continuing professional development for self and others
Committed to active parental involvement
Able to deal sensitively with people and resolve conflict
Commitment to making learning fun
Supportive of our church school ethos, our vision and our values
