Senior Arboricultural Officer
Lichfield District Council has an opening for an experienced Senior Arboricultural Officer to join the Arboricultual team in our busy Economic Growth and Development service area. Lichfield District is an attractive place to work with green infrastructure key in the delivery of future sustainable development. The Senior Arboricultural Officer post plays an important role in how that development is shaped.
Working closely with colleagues in the Development Management, Spatial Policy and Delivery and Planning Enforcement teams, you will provide professional arboricultural advice on planning applications and tree works applications/notices, assist in developing policy and contribute to effective enforcement.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of providing high quality, professional arboricultural advice in development scenarios, in the preparation, administration and enforcement of Tree Preservation Orders, processing of tree works applications and notices, and dealing with the Hedgerow Regulations.
You will have have excellent organisational and time management skills to deliver results in a busy team, plus excellent communication skills which you can adapt as appropriate to suit a variety of audiences. Access to a vehicle and a full driving licence are essential for this post.
