Worcestershire Children First Fostering Service as a Fostering Recruitment and Retention Team Leader (35 hours, Fixed term 12 months).

Salary: £37,724 - £40,506

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Biggest Fostering Family in Worcestershire!  This will be a new and exciting and creative role, where you will need to have the ability to develop, drive and fully implement the Worcestershire Children First Fostering Marketing, recruitment, and communications strategy with the overall aim of increasing recruitment of foster carers for Worcestershire Children First Fostering.  Worcestershire children first fostering service is an independent fostering agency, wholly owned by Worcestershire county council. You will need to have excellent skills in communicating in a digital world as well as face to face in this outward facing person centred role to engage with prospective foster carers and fostering families.

The appointed team leader will have specific responsibility to work towards increasing the number of new foster placements. This is to be achieved through proactive marketing and communication strategies to ultimately lead to the to the successful recruitment of high quality foster carers who can meet the needs of looked after children. The role requires enthusiasm and personal skills to develop and communicate the overall offer of outstanding support that Worcestershire children first foster carers can expect to receive so that they are supported well to provide outstanding care for Worcestershire’s looked after children. This will also lead to foster carers feeling well supported to carry out their role well and will attract new foster carers. In addition to responsibility for managing marketing and recruitment strategy; you will also have to line manage and involve other staff across the service in foster carer recruitment. You will need to be able to work confidently across the service and within our wider foster carer community. The ability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends is essential to this role.
