We are delighted that you are interested in a Key Stage 1 teaching support career at Willenhall Community Primary School. The successful applicant will need:

To have passion for teaching and learning in order to make a difference to children’s lives.

To have a secure knowledge of the teaching of phonics and early reading.

To value inclusion and possess the drive to enable children to find their talents and passions.

To have positive behaviour management strategies and demonstrate a compassionate and restorative approach to dealing with behaviours.

To make an active contribution to school life and the wider community.

To have a sense of humour, positive outlook and a kind heart.

The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers and other members of staff.

The ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups of children, teachers, parents and other members of staff.

A sympathetic approach to parents and an understanding of the need for confidentiality

To show initiative and contribute creative ideas to the learning environment.

To have a commitment to their own professional learning, which is supported by a dedicated leadership team.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS is needed for this post. Two references will be taken up for all short listed candidates prior to interview.
