Warwickshire County Council is seeking to employ a Waste Compliance Officer based in the Commissioning Support Unit in Warwick. Working with waste management data and contractors you will make sure that the Council is invoiced correctly and paying correctly for waste materials, as well as raising invoices where income is owed to the authority.

 

 

About the Role

 

Working in a varied and interesting environment you must be well organised with a positive and flexible approach to workloads and have the ability to work to tight deadlines. You should be able to work well as part of a team, and must also be able to prioritise your own workload and work on your own initiative

You will need high level keyboard skills and be competent in the use of computerised systems, including standard Microsoft products. You will need to have good and accurate literacy, numeracy, administrative skills and the ability to analyse information to solve general queries.

There will be a requirement to support telephone contact across the wider Waste team, dealing with customers, suppliers, residents and other local authority staff, therefore, excellent verbal communications are essential, as are written skills. 

The position is currently being offered at 15 hours per week, with the requirement for 7.5 hours to be worked on a Monday.  An additional 15 hours per week will become available later during 2021.
