Staff Cover Manager/Cover Supervisor

37.0 Hours per Week

Fixed Term Contract Ending 31/07/2022

We require a Staff Cover Manager/Cover Supervisor to manage and organise the cover requirements for teaching staff absence, and also to work in class, covering the short term absence of teaching staff. The successful applicant will be able to liaise successfully with members of staff and outside supply agencies, on a daily basis, to ensure the cover requirements of the school are met and managed in an efficient and timely manner. They will also be timetabled, within the school’s cover team, to act as a Cover Supervisor, and will possess the ability to manage behaviour and be able to assist pupils, in whole classes, with their learning.  

Key Requirements

A suitable applicant should be a good communicator with all ages and levels of ability, have a flexible approach to work and be prepared to learn new skills. Candidates should, ideally, have previous experience of managing and organising work schedules, and of leading lessons or assisting in a secondary level classroom situation.
