Primary School Teacher 0.8 and SENDCo 0.2FTE
Scale Point: Negotiable (+SEN Responsibility Allowance pro-rata to SENDco 0.2 FTE)
Start: Wednesday 1st September 2021

Tours around the school - Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th, Wednesday 31st March 1.30-4.30pm and Monday 19th April – Wednesday 21st April 9.30 – 12pm
We are seeking to appoint a full-time primary school teacher with responsibility for SEND on a one year temporary FTE in the first instance
The successful candidate will maintain and develop the school’s SEND provision using the SEND Framework and Code of Practice.
The post will involve: managing all SEND IPM/EHCP documentation; monitoring effectiveness of provision; liaising with agencies, staff and parents and coordinating interventions in and out of the classroom.
The Ideal candidate for this post will be a qualified primary school teacher and will have either…
- a keen interest in being a primary school SENDCo and be committed to completing the master’s qualification within in three years of taking up the post
- recent experience as a SENDCo in helping pupils make strong progress and have completed the master’s qualification in SEND
Candidates may have additional specialist SEN qualifications, such as the National SENDCo Award or equivalent experience.
The successful candidate will be a highly effective and flexible team member prepared to teach across the primary age range in our small rural school, ensuring a high-quality education for all of our pupils and the highest standards of learning and achievement.
