Who we need
You will be an effective forward planner and bring experience of your outstanding administrative support to high profile programmes of a similar scale.
You are likely to be someone that works proactively and thrives on attention to detail in documentation, such as in reports, financial orders, preparing agendas and minutes and adhering to defined processes. You will have the ability to set up user-friendly electronic systems for the accurate documentation and retrieval of a public sector programme.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to effectively prioritise and stay calm under pressure. You will bring experience of having interfaces with the public as well as professional colleagues in TfWM, the seven local authorities, partners and suppliers. This is where your high standard of customer service will come to the fore.
In return for your hard work and commitment, we will reward you with a range of competitive and attractive benefits.
About the Team
The West Midlands cycling and walking network will see significant investment over the next few years and will benefit from historic levels of funding, helping to create a place that is fit for the future, safe, green and connected.
TfWM will ensure cycling and walking are the optimal travel choices for transport and for leisure. Our aim is to make the whole of the West Midlands healthier, happier, better connected and more prosperous by creating attractive urban environments in city and town centres, along key transport corridors and within our suburbs. Our ambitious plans include improved infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians, as well as delivering supporting activities such as training and campaigns.
Although based within TfWM’s Cycling and Walking Team, this role will be expected to spend time working within Local Authority teams, getting to know their processes and projects in order to provide an effective link between all organisations.
