Communications Assistant

£20,092 - £22,183 per annum


37 hours per week

 

Temporary contract for 12 months

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Assistant to join our busy team to support the council’s delivery of our Communications activities including PR, Marketing, Consultation and Community Engagement.

The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of our vision and priorities across a diverse range of council services, playing a key role in promoting the council’s services and products whilst protecting and enhancing the authority’s reputation, as well as providing administrative support to the team. The role focuses on writing and distributing a range of content across various digital and non-digital channels along with capturing, analysing and evaluating communications performance data.

Applicants will ideally have a qualification in journalism or marketing and will need to have experience in copywriting in different styles for a range of audiences, as well as using social media channels for promotional and engagement purposes. Knowledge of ICT systems and software along with an understanding of website accessibility requirements are an essential requirement of this role.

This is a varied role which will suit an adaptable, creative and highly organised individual, proficient in working with a range of stakeholders.
