An exciting opportunity has arisen within Worcestershire County Council’s Sustainability Team.  We are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer until March 2022.  The successful applicant should have excellent numeracy and communication skills; an eye for detail; experience of monitoring and administering publicly funded projects; and an appreciation of the issues affecting small and medium sized businesses.

You will be working within the Business Energy Efficiency Programme an EU funded programme, which supports small-to-medium enterprises across Worcestershire and the Marches to cut carbon emissions and save money by installing energy efficiency measures. The Programme offers free advice and access to grant funding.

You will assist the Senior Project Officer in the operational delivery of this advice and grants programme.

The varied work will include tasks such as:
Day-to-day communication with businesses and partners, administering grants, assisting with procurement and working closely with contract providers.  Ensuring compliance with, and working within the regulations of, ERDF funding requirements.  Assisting with the planning and delivery of events and marketing of the programme

As part of a supportive team, you will work alongside colleagues delivering other advice and grant funding programmes, as well as other sustainability work within the community and the County Council. The Sustainability Team is part of the Economy and Infrastructure Directorate.
