The Local Governing Board at St Stephen’s Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational Early Years Foundation Stage Leader to lead on the strategic direction and development of the phase with the support of, and under the direction of, the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will need:

- to be an exemplary classroom practitioner demonstrating high quality teaching and learning in the EYFS

- to have a clear understanding of current practice and different approaches to learning in the EYFS

- to be ambitious, have high expectations and a proven track record in raising pupil achievement

- proven experience of leading and inspiring others through a teamwork approach

- knowledge, understanding and experience of effectively delivering and assessing the RWI programme

- the ability to lead and manage provision for phonics

- to work effectively as part of an energetic, forward-thinking team

- to contribute whole-heartedly to wider school life.
