Brays School specialises in the education of primary-aged pupils with a range of diagnosis. The School is split across two sites; our Tile Cross site educates those with a diagnosis on the Autistic Spectrum and our Sheldon site educates children with a range of physical, learning, and Sensory difficulties.

The School has high standards of teaching and learning, and is committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible individual to support and deliver:

 • PPA cover to plan clear teaching objectives, content, lesson structures and sequences appropriate to the subject matter and the pupils being taught and to record and assess pupils work whilst covering for teachers’ PPA allocated absence

 • to supervise whole classes during the unplanned/ unexpected short-term absence of the class teacher under the guidance of senior staff, including implementing work programmes, managing pupil behaviours, and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting and assisting pupils with PMLS/SLD and PD children and will be a collaborative worker. The successful post holder will be educated to a degree standard. This post is not suitable for those newly qualified to Level 3 or those with no experience of working with PMLD/ SLD/ PD children. All applicants must have GCSE grades A-C or equivalent in English Language.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Brays School is part of Forward Education Trust. This is a Multi Academy Trust comprising of Brays School, The Bridge School and Hallmoor School. All contracts are with Forward Education Trust.
