We are seeking energetic and committed, experienced social workers to help young people with disabilities make the transition to greater independence and opportunities as they grow older.
Play a part in making Warwickshire the best it can be, working with people aged 14 to 25 in the Disability Transitions Team. It’s a big responsibility that can be challenging at times, but that is what drives us to succeed, and you’ll see their independence and your career grow.
The Disability Transitions Team works with dedicated passion and purpose to provide specialist care and support to the most vulnerable in our communities. Working in our team, you’ll see just how much of a meaningful difference you can make. You will be working with a variety of young people, including those with learning disabilities and autism, and/or physical disabilities, their carers and their families.
You’ll work closely with schools, communities and our education and health partners. We’ll attach you to one of our schools or colleges so you can get to know all the pupils, the local area, community resources and services, so you can develop friendship networks and use pooled resources to help young people achieve their full potential.
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
For information about the role please contact: Susan Huk email@example.com
Closing Date: 12th April 2021
As part of being a Disability Confident employer we guarantee to interview anyone with a disability whose application demonstrates that they meet the criteria for the post. This means the qualifications, skills or experience defined as essential in the person specification.
Should you require application forms in an alternative format / language or any adjustments to be made throughout the application process or upon appointment, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make every effort to meet your specific requirements.
