About Us

Nationally, Warwickshire’s social care has a good reputation and we are looking for the right people to join us. In Warwickshire we put our people first – our customers, carers and our staff. We value and develop our workforce to ensure staff can provide the best care and protection possible for the people of Warwickshire.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Occupational Therapist to join our Learning Disability Service within Warwickshire. The team is currently based in Warwick and Bedworth and consists of Social Care Practitioners, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Our team are currently all home-based due to current restrictions.

The Role

As one of our Occupational Therapists, you’ll be working in a multi-agency environment and undertake assessment as directed by the Senior Occupational Therapist. You will be flexible, innovative and have an up to date knowledge and experience of legislation and policies in the social care arena. Travelling across county you’ll be managing a caseload of individuals with a wide range of needs; including people with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with physical disabilities, mental health conditions; carers and their families.

You will be helping to carry out functional, risk and standardised assessments; developing support plans with customers and carers; and helping the wider team as necessary.  You’ll be responsible for prescribing assistive technology, equipment and minor adaptations and provide effective OT interventions to support people to remain as independent as possible, identify strengths and meet their assessed outcomes.

As a strong team player, you will be required to contribute to the development and promotion of the Learning Disability Service.
