About Us

At Warwickshire County Council the demand for our services and the way customers interact with us are changing and we need to ensure we meet these demands by having an agile workforce with modern working practices and processes.

Our ambitions for achieving this are set out in our ‘How We Will Work’ transformation programme which focusses on four key elements - our people, our processes, our technology and making better use of our space. Our People Strategy outlines our culture through our people, values and behaviours.

Both strategies are now in full flow. We have implemented a range of new technology (M365/Surface Pros) and adopted an agile working approach to ensure our staff and services are high performing and working in the best way to support our customers. We are now in a great position to introduce new elements to our transformation programme to achieve our ambitions and drive cultural change.

About the Team

The Organisational Development Team is a highly engaged and supportive team who play a key role in supporting the organisation to create the right environment and culture to enable our people to be the best they can be. We design and implement a range of programmes and solutions that enable the delivery of our People Strategy, fosters high-performance, and improves services to our customers through our workforce.

  • Improve the customer experience across our services.
  • Facilitate the cultural and behavioural changes required as part of our service redesign programmes.

The role requires a curious and innovative thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to a changing environment. The successful candidate will need to have experience of leading or delivering change (not necessarily HR related) and / or OD programmes and uses a coaching style to influence culture and behaviour change at all levels.

In addition, you will need to be adept at:-

  • networking and building strong working relationships (both internally and externally) with key stakeholders.
  • possess good project management and facilitation skills to positively challenge senior stakeholders and colleagues to do things differently by bringing a solution focussed approach and energy to the role.
  • Have experience of developing a range of user-friendly guidance, resources, and materials.
