L8 (subject to formal evaluation) £27,041 - £29,577 Whole Year
37 hours: Monday 8.30 – 4.30, Tuesday – Thursday 9 – 5.00, Friday 8.30 – 4.00
Abbey Hill School & College is a successful and over-subscribed special school meeting the needs of children and young people with learning difficulties, communication & interaction difficulties and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions
Our governors are seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Inclusion Manager. Following a restructure this is a newly created position and an exciting opportunity to help develop the school’s future needs
Job Purpose:
- Admissions / EHC Process: To review and respond to requests for places through liaison with the LA
- Extended School Responsible for our extended school offer (ie lunch clubs, after school clubs, holiday clubs)
- Behaviour MAPA Lead and trainer Dealing with day-to-day behavioural issues as appropriate
- Medical: Ensure appropriate measures are in place to support pupils with medical issues
- SEND Promotion of inclusive practice
Person Specification:
- Experience of working in a similar role, eg Assistant SENDCO
- Administrative experience
- Excellent knowledge of SEND and barriers affecting learning
- Excellent understanding and application of behaviour management
- Experience of policy writing and reviewing
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with staff and other stakeholders
- Ability to organise own workload and priorities on day-to-day basis
