Full time - 37 hours

Would you like to work for an ‘Outstanding’ local authority – one with an established management team, committed to developing excellent practice and ensuring that our staff receive the best support we can offer?

Telford and Wrekin’s Children's Services invite you to join us in our exciting transformation journey.  If you are committed to working with families in a relational way and like us want to re-connect with the community in which our families live then we would like to hear from you.

Following our successful bid to adopt the FAMILY SAFEGUARDING MODEL we are looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Practitioner who is able to work with children and families impacted by domestic abuse.

As one of our Domestic Abuse Practitioners we will support you to develop your skills and knowledge when working with families. To excel, you’ll need experience of working with adults impacted by domestic abuse and have a commitment to multi-agency working to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Telford and Wrekin Council takes seriously the responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all the children and young people entrusted to our care and it is our expectation that all staff will share this commitment.  We will ensure continuous development and improvement of robust recruitment processes and procedures that promote a culture of safeguarding amongst our workforce.  Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is a requirement for working with children and young people.

This post is covered by the Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.
