The Brokerage service is a relatively new team within Staffordshire County Council. The team is responsible for sourcing services for all adults assessed as requiring support. As a team we continually self-evaluate, modify and develop to ensure we are the best we can be to meet the demands of the market and our partners. In doing so we are a team that is made up of highly adaptive, skilled and motivated staff, we are very proud of our service and what we have achieved so far.

We are a dynamic group of individuals who celebrate and welcome diversity. We are committed to the principles of social justice and their application in the workplace to ensure equity for all.

Staffordshire County Council is a great place to work, we are lucky to work in an

environment that has a supportive training programme and encourages excellence.

There are opportunities to network widely and staff who are ambitious and excel at

what they do have an opportunity to shine. Because of this most of our team

vacancies are due to progression. Former members of our team have gone on to take up senior positions in Social Work Teams, Clinical Commissioning Organisations and the NHS. We have a vacancy on the team and need to recruit a Brokerage Liaison Officer. The suitable candidate must have experience and skills in the world of Social Care be resilient, willing to give 100% and be adaptable. This is a challenging work environment, but the rewards are being part of a team that is valued and has pride in working with Staffordshire residents, helping them to achieve their desired outcomes.

This Authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment,  communities and employees.

This position will have access to the Public Sector Network, to meet government security standards we will request a basic criminal convictions certificate and other background checks prior to appointment for the successful candidate
