2 x Campaigns Officer

Salary:  £32,234- £36,922 per annum

Full time, 37 Hours per week – 12-month fixed term contract

Location: Staffordshire Place, Stafford  

We are looking for two Campaigns Officers to join the Staffordshire County Council communications team.

Over the last year the team has worked closer than ever with council colleagues, partners, communities and business to keep people informed, promote public health and support those most in need.

We are looking for creative and enthusiastic individuals who can work across subject areas as varied as climate change and waste reduction, to road safety and public health.

You should be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering campaigns that make people sit up, take notice and change their behaviour. You’ll have great social media know-how, be skilled in digital communications and content production, comfortable with a busy workload, and able to work on fast-paced projects with colleagues from across the organisation and our partners. Knowledge and experience of working with the media would be a plus too.

Reporting to the Campaigns and Internal Communications Manager, you will also be confident advising senior officers, directors and elected members.

Adaptable and a team player, you should be able to make a fast start and contribute to the delivery of a busy programme of campaigns, staff and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate:

• Experienced in campaigns delivery and content production
• Skilled at using research to deliver compelling and effective campaigns 
• Great knowledge of digital communications trends and techniques
• Excellent language skills, able to write clearly and compelling for the web and other digital channels
• Creative, with the drive and initiative to get the job done
