Data Protection Officer.

Term Time Only (38 weeks per year). Grade 4 (£10.31- £11.27 per hour).

2 hours per week ordinarily, although additional hours may be required at certain times, for example if a volume of subject access requests were to be received. Agreed overtime will be paid.

We are looking to appoint a highly organised, skilled and proactive Data Protection Officer.

Suitably qualified candidates are sought with a background in Data Management, Law or Compliance. Please note that, whilst it is desirable that candidates have previous experience of working within education, this is not essential as we recognise experience obtained in other sectors.

The role includes ensuring school’s adherence to the GDPR, including advising the Head Teacher and Governing body where appropriate, co-ordinating relevant staff training, and responding to subject access requests and requests made under the Freedom of Information Act.
