Housing Asset Management and Development are responsible for all major construction, refurbishment and planned maintenance works to their existing council housing stock together with a number of new build schemes throughout the borough.

The Home Improvements Team is based within the Housing Asset Management and Development section of the Council and are responsible for overseeing a significant number of adaptation schemes across both council housing and within the private sector including Housing Associations.

They are also responsible for some structural and improvement works within the council housing stock.  



Hours:  37 per week

Salary: Grade 8 

You will be responsible for ensuring that all building works are completed competently, to an appropriate standard and are compliant with all statutory regulations.

You will be responsible for monitoring the quality of on site workmanship and practices together with all contract administration.

The Council is looking for someone who is knowledgeable about the construction process and is able to work well with contractors and residents on a number of schemes concurrently to ensure the smooth running of each scheme.

They should be proactive and be able to manage their own workload and diary, taking ownership of the schemes they are managing.

The Council is looking for someone who has very good communication and people skills.
