The majority of our young people have complex medical needs, and many have

been out of education for a significant period of time prior to joining the Academy. We offer a full-time curriculum to young people from EYFS to KS5 and our aim is always to enable them to ‘close the gap’ and to make outstanding progress during the time they are with us.

We are looking for Science Teacher, experience in teaching maths would be desirable. The role involves teaching pupils with medical needs who are unable to access mainstream education at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Many of our Young People have gaps in their education and we strive to implement creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact

of educational disadvantage, enabling all our Young People to access learning and make expected progress. You should be passionate about developing and supporting the needs of the whole child and committed to enabling all pupils to thrive. We are looking for a qualified teacher with tenacity, positivity and experience of teaching the subject at KS3
