Due to a rapid rise in our growing post-16 provision, SUA6 are seeking a talented and ambitious academic mentor to help our sixth form students realise their aspirations.

The post would ideally suit a university graduate who would like to experience a role in education. The role will involve mentoring students with their academic or organisational skills, whilst also being able to support sixth form teaching to help stretch the learning experience. You will also oversee an exciting programme of enrichment targeted at post-16 students.

Staffordshire University Academy has seen a rapid improvement in recent years and focuses on our relentless mission of improving the life chances of the students in our local community. We have worked hard on creating a clear culture of high expectations and aspirations within the academy. September 2021 sees our biggest ever cohorts in Year 12 and Year 7.

This coincides with our unique football academy pathway, through our Hednesford Sports Education partnership. Students, male or female, who are in the academy have dedicated football sessions coached by UEFA B coaches and fitness and nutrition sessions led by professionals.
