Adoption@Heart is a Regional Adoption Agency delivering adoption services to Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley.
Since the service was launched in April 2019, it has been at the forefront of regional and national developments in adoption. We strive to deliver excellence in recruiting adoptive families, finding families for children and in the provision of adoption support, with a focus on the journey of the child underpinning all our work.
This vacancy offers the successful applicant the opportunity to join a progressive and dynamic RAA partnership, and to be involved in shaping the service as we move further forward with delivery and development.
As Service Manager, you will be in a lead management role responsible to the Head of Service and working alongside Team Managers. You will have a key role in driving service developments in recruiting and supporting adoptive families and family finding for children. You will also be the strategic link to some of our partner local authorities, ensuring close integration with care planning services.
We are looking for people like you, who are committed to developing the highest levels of innovative and creative practice with children and adoptive parents to help them achieve good outcomes. As advocates of a strength-based approach to social work, we will also look after you, investing in your training in Restorative Practice, giving you the best possible range of methods and strategies to prevent and resolve situations that you might encounter, all with a highly competitive salary.
You should have experience of working within an adoption service and knowledge of adoption practice, legislation and guidance, as well as relevant managerial experience.

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to undertake:
- A panel interview (including a care leaver panel interview)
- 10 minute presentation
