Education Welfare Officer -
Salary: £26,317 - £30,507 per annum Grade 8
37 Hours per week – Opportunity for 6 months temporary contract / secondment
- An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and high performing individual in the role of Education Welfare Officer as a 6 month fixed term contract. The post holder will be required to work in close partnership with education providers to address the complex issue’s of school attendance, child employment and entertainment. We are looking for individuals who have a thorough understanding of the complex factors which may influence irregular attendance in education settings and have a sound knowledge of the statutory framework around school attendance, child entertainment and employment. We require the candidate to have an understanding of statutory safeguarding procedures, legal framework for improving attendance, Fair access Protocol and the DfE Guidance on attendance including children missing from education.
