The Role:

Technical Training Manager/Deputy Superintendent Registrar

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Worcestershire in delivering an exceptional service to our community and those choosing to have a ceremony in our beautiful county.

Your key responsibility will be to ensure that all services are carried out according to legislation.
You will be joining us at a time when there are significant changes coming to civil registration and you will take the lead in technical training, supported by the training group and be part of the implementation team as these changes are announced. You’ll be an experienced manager and inspirational leader, able to guide our team and partners through the change agenda

As an experienced Deputy Superintendent Registrar, you will regularly carry out the required duties of the post, communicating with people from all different backgrounds face to face. As the first point of contact for all Registrar General licences you’ll possess the ability to deal with this in a caring and compassionate manner. 

You will assist in deputising for the Head of Service as required. Contact with the General Register Office, venue owners/managers and those involved with places of worship along with the Home Office will also feature frequently as your regular contacts.          

You’ll need experience of working in the Registration Service at a Deputy Superintendent level. A self-motivated individual, you’ll inspire confidence in everyone you deal with.

The ability to remain calm under pressure will be paramount in a fast-paced service, leading other’s through this transformation. An ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex legislation will be essential.

The Register office is based at County Hall, Worcester and we have 6 other offices throughout the county.
