Senior Valuation Officer

Grade 8 £44,863 – £48,847 per annum

Permanent – 37 hours per week

The City of Wolverhampton Council has a Corporate Landlord Service that brings together the Council’s considerable land and property assets into a single portfolio. The service is well positioned to take a more strategic approach to the management of Council assets.

In this role, you will have line management responsibility within the Estates Team, and will be responsible  for undertaking valuations, estate management, acquisition and disposal of land and property relating to the full breadth of the Council’s diverse land and commercial asset portfolios. Working to the Council’s Strategic Asset Plan, disposal and investment strategies, you will take an innovative approach to the growth agenda to maximise revenue.

You will make informed decisions on what property and land assets to retain, develop, maintain or sell, and action cyclical and emergency maintenance works for the commercial portfolio. You will also work collaboratively with other services as part of the council’s transformation programme.

As the successful candidate you will be an experienced, RICS qualified commercial practice surveyor, and be qualified as a RICS Registered Valuer. Whether from the public or private sector, you will also be politically astute and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you will be innovative and have the confidence to take measured risks in improving service delivery and achieving excellence.
