We are looking for experienced Equality and Diversity Advisors to work with the Head of Equality & Diversity to take forward this important and exciting agenda to shape, implement and drive the change and pace needed to meet our equality commitments.


Your duties will include working operationally on priorities and specific initiatives, design and delivery of training, policy implementation and providing high quality advice and support to directorates.


You will have a relevant degree (or equivalent) or will be able to demonstrate you have relevant specialist knowledge gained through extended experience and training.  You will also have proven experience of operating in a similar role with a track record of delivering on an ambitious programme of work around equalities, a detailed knowledge and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion legislation and ways in which it can be promoted across and embedded into a large, multi-functional public organisation.


We are currently implementing our Smarter Ways of Working as we recognise that work is what you do and not necessarily where you go.  Our aim is to balance the needs of our employees with service delivery and, for the majority of our roles, to enable our people to be able to work remotely wherever possible.


Requests for working on a part-time or job-share basis would also be considered.
