Title: Domestic Abuse Act Co-Ordinator
Location: Plough Lane Hereford / Home Working
Salary: £28,785 - £32,878
Position: 37 hours per week, 12 month contract. A secondment opportunity is available for council employees.

Herefordshire Council is seeking to appoint a Domestic Abuse Act Co-Ordinator for a twelve-month contract.
The Domestic Abuse Act Co-Ordinator will be responsible for supporting a review and improvement of the council’s current arrangements for the response to domestic abuse in relation to the new statutory duties within the Domestic Abuse Act. The Co-Ordinator will formulate and commence implementation of a plan and proposals which ensure the council fully meets the new duties, along with its local partners. The new post will work as part of a small team driving the implementation of legislation.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on their own initiative and manage their own workload. They will have strong verbal and written skills and be experienced in communicating with a variety of people and organisations, including presenting reports and updates to a range of stakeholders. They will demonstrate flexibility, sensitivity and the ability to maintain confidentiality, as the role includes engagement activity with people affected by domestic abuse. Knowledge of and professional interest or experience relating to domestic abuse is essential.
