Job Details

Warwickshire Children and Families are recruiting 2 Principal Social Work Practitioners to join the Practice Improvement Service.

Principal Social Work Practitioners support Assessed and Supported Year in Employment programme (ASYE) and Early Professional Development (EPD) staff to have the best start and support in their professional development across their first years of practice.

You will have experience of supporting and enabling the practice of others, and be confident in teaching through modelling, co-working, supporting reflection and direct teaching methods, which promote evidence-based practice.

The Role

Principal Social Work Practitioners have a varied workload and seek to improve the quality of practice across the service, contributing to the identification of areas for development through audit activities and other work which meets an evolving service need. Principal Social Work Practitioners are system leaders in restorative practice and trauma responsive practice. They work with teams to promote practice which is underpinned by restorative values, and to support the use of Warwickshire’s intervention tools.

Principal Social Work Practitioners have their practice recognised as exemplary and provide leadership and professional wisdom to their colleagues and other professionals for work in situations of high complexity. You will be registered with Social Work England and will have at least 4 years post qualifying experience.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we are working towards launching Warwickshire's Children and Families Academy in September 21. The PSWP team work closely with academy staff in the ASYE programme and in the wider development of practice through the academy.
