Working within Legal and Democratic you will be managing a wide ranging and complex team responsible for compliant, robust and innovative delivery of our Democratic and Information Governance functions. You will form a key part of the Legal and Democratic Management Team working closely with colleagues managing our award-winning, nationally recognised legal service.

About the Role
You’ll deliver outstanding governance support to members, senior officers and colleagues ensuring the continued high standards of our Democratic Services and Information Governance teams and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements within those areas. You will play an active role as part of our service team working in partnership with colleagues to innovate our service delivery capabilities.
You’ll need sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, collaborating with our friendly and supportive team of innovative professionals. You will also need to be willing to learn and adapt to the challenging, ever-changing public sector legal environment.
In terms of experience, you should have a demonstrable track record of delivering governance support in a fast paced and innovative public sector environment. You must have the skills needed to lead in accordance with our behaviours and have experience of advising and supporting in a senior capacity in relation to either Information Governance and/or Democratic Services. You must be a leader and have the ambition to learn new areas in order to provide the best support to your Teams and the organisation.
