Job Details

Dudley Registration Service is seeking to recruit temporary part-time Registration Assistants.  Working Saturdays from June to October 2021.

Hours: 7.24 per week (There may be additional hours available as and when required)

 

Salary:  Scale 5 

Location: Various - Priory Hall, Dudley, Stourbridge Registration Office (Thomas Robinson Building), Approved Premises and Registered Buildings (religious premises)

The service is looking for new members of staff to join the team for the busy wedding season. You will be appointed as a deputy registrar and required to register marriages and civil partnerships. You will be required to provide non-statutory services to include naming and renewal of vows ceremonies. You will be required to carry out administrative work within the registration service.

The service currently operates from three locations across the borough and you will be required to work from all locations as well as attending marriages at approved premises and registered buildings.

Working 1 day per week, on Saturdays from 1 June until 31 October 2021.

Previous registration experience is desirable although full training will be given. A good standard of education is needed to include GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent, as a minimum. Working in a very busy environment you will need excellent customer care skills and a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail along with neat handwriting skills. The service requires flexible team players who are able to adapt to different roles and tasks to meet the changing demands of the service.
