Set in beautiful wooded grounds on the edge of Stourbridge in the West Midlands, Elmfield Rudolf Steiner School is an award-winning, lively and innovative independent school, delivering the internationally established Steiner Waldorf curriculum to children between the ages of 3 and 17 years. Established over 70 years ago, Elmfield continues to develop and to offer a unique and dynamic environment in which our students and staff can thrive. Our most recent Ofsted inspection rated all areas of the school as “Good”.

In order to continue this success, we are seeking to appoint a School Lead* who will engage the whole school, our staff, pupils and wider community in the next phase of the school’s development. 

We require an outstanding individual with proven educational leadership skills and commensurate qualifications. You will be accountable for securing the strategic aims, vision and mission of our Steiner Waldorf school. Supported by a committed team, and working closely with our Trustees (Council of Management) and College of Teachers, you will implement strategies to strengthen the educational delivery and development of our school.

We expect candidates to have a genuine desire to maintain the core values of Steiner Waldorf education, whilst ensuring that the school meets all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements - ultimately ensuring the growth and wellbeing of the school. The right person will have the enthusiasm required to carry forward the evolution of Elmfield Rudolf Steiner School not only as a great school, but as a whole community.

The selection process will involve the completion of job specific tasks and activities. There will be at least two interview rounds led by the Chair of Trustees. First round interviews are currently planned for Thursday 13th May 2021 and will take account of relevant Covid restrictions at the time.
