We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the Central Creditors team.
The Central Creditors manage the complete ‘purchase to pay’ process within a small team using multiple systems (eProcurement, Finance, Records Management) so the ability to learn quickly and collaborate is essential.
As part of the Central Creditors team you will ensure that invoices received by the Council are processed efficiently, and in accordance with VAT, Construction Industry and Late Payment Legislation.
In addition to processing invoices, you will also help to maintain the eProcurement system by on-boarding suppliers, maintaining online catalogues and assisting with orders raised across the Council.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who works well as part of a team, can use their own initiative, and can actively contribute new ideas to future developments.
The right mix of skills and ‘can-do’ attitude is more important to us than experience, as full training will be provided.
We are specifically looking for someone with excellent IT skills, who thrives working in a team, and enjoys providing exceptional customer service.
