Job Details

A full-time Direct Payment Officer is required to join the existing team.

The Direct Payment Team sets up and processes the direct payment funds to those service users who have chosen to fund their care via a Direct payment.

The post holder will check that request for a Direct Payment is in line with the Direct Payment Guidance and set up and process payments in to the Direct Payment Account.

The post holder will be required to regularly monitor report for data quality, accuracy and integrity of the direct payment data on the system and take actions to resolve discrepancies, and should have excellent spreadsheet and data manipulation skills.

You will be required to oversee general account duties that include petty cash reimbursements, Carers Payments and raising invoices.

Applicants should hold 5 GCSE`s or equivalent to include a minimum Grade C in Maths and English and will have a knowledge / experience of working with Local Government Finance and financial systems, working knowledge of Direct Payments and payment processing systems and an awareness of the financial aspects of Social Care. Ability to gather and analyse and report information from various sources.

Applicant needs to be confident and have the ability to work flexibly and to deadlines under pressure.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
