Who are we looking for?
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional who will work as an education advocate for a cohort of Children Looked After in Early Years, predominantly Reception Year (but also to include some pre-school aged children), residing both in and out of county.
As a Learning Advocate you will provide early identification and targeted intervention at the earliest opportunity and challenge the barriers to success, thereby promoting a culture of high aspiration for every CLA. Applicants should have knowledge of and experience across the Early Years Foundation Stage and a strong commitment to improving educational outcomes for looked after children in early years. You will need to use your own initiative, possess excellent organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines. You will work with early years providers, schools, settings, social workers, foster carers/parents and a range of agencies to support the wider learning outcomes, educational progress and attainment of our children looked after.
