The posts will be responsible for providing Highway recommendations on major planning applications to the relevant Planning Authority. You will be responsible for leading on all highway elements of the process which will include liaising with applicants and their agents on the highways aspects of their proposals and negotiating appropriate mitigation measures and s106 financial contributions. You will be expected to attend Planning Committee meetings and where necessary attend Planning Appeal Hearings and Public Inquiries to give evidence and undertake cross examination.

The post will also be expected to liaise and advise internally and externally on Development Management matters as they relate to Local Plans and any other areas of work.
