This is an excellent opportunity to be actively involved with a successful heritage museum.  You will be supporting the main objective of the museum which is to provide public access to the collections and to sustain traditional craft skills as well as fostering contemporary industries.  You will have a direct impact in promoting physical, intellectual and cultural access to the Museum and its collections and help to sustain traditional craft skills.  Trustees will also ensure that the wider site of buildings and land are properly maintained and developed for use by the public, maintaining their important role for local residents and visitors alike. 


As a Trustee of Bewdley Museum, you will participate fully as a Board member, agreeing strategies and the business plan, promoting ideas, exercising judgement and taking collective decisions on the full range of strategic responsibilities such as budget setting and monitoring, appointment and dismissal of staff and setting their terms and conditions,  building maintenance, collections and disposal policies, contractual arrangements and so on.  Throughout you will be generally supporting the aims and objectives of the organisation and complying with charity law and your duties as a trustee.

  • Working together and not pursuing personal or sectional interests at the expense of organisation interests

  • Respecting the confidential nature of information relating to the business of the charity in accordance with information governance and data protection policies
